SeniorenWoonhulp
SeniorenWoonhulp runs on a Shopify OS 2.0 theme built on Dawn and customized for senior home-safety products, package sales, advice requests, and professional installation. The store combines clear audience flows for seniors, caregivers, care professionals, municipalities/WMO, and housing organizations with a guided shop flow where visitors build a safety plan step by step. Behind the scenes, the theme supports package products through Shopify Bundles, solo products with installation and planning costs, a service-aware cart, lead forms with analytics, and an editable client documentation app.

Overview
Context
Safety has to feel simple.
SeniorenWoonhulp does not sell ordinary catalog products. Visitors often arrive with a sensitive need: staying independent at home, reducing worry for a parent, or acting quickly after a signal from a care professional. The store therefore had to build trust before asking anyone to choose. The structure routes five audiences to recognizable information, calm explanation, and clear next steps while keeping the technical product and installation complexity out of the visitor's way.
Approach
A safety plan instead of a product list.
The heart of the store is "Uw veiligheidsplan": a guided shop flow where visitors first choose a safety level, then filter categories, and finally add suitable packages or individual products. Product data from Shopify metafields drives categories, default levels, installation costs, and planning costs. The flow stores the selection locally, enforces a minimum order total, and can add an annual safety check as a service. The front end stays calm while Shopify handles the correct variants and service lines behind the scenes.
Result
A manageable Shopify system for advice, sales, and service.
The result is a custom Shopify theme that does more than display products. The homepage and persona pages give different audiences their own route. Package products show bundle contents through Shopify Bundles with a metafield fallback. Solo products can add installation and planning variants. The cart treats service lines differently from regular products and prevents duplicate annual safety checks. Contact, help, careers, and partner forms send lead events to GTM/dataLayer. A separate Vite/React documentation app explains which parts the client can safely manage in Shopify.
